About Me
RESPONSIBILITIES
I started this business to assist clients in implementing and maintaining solid Human Resource policies and practices including policy and procedure development and implementation; employee relations; performance management; compensation design; employee and management training; employment law compliance; and managerial coaching. I enjoy helping my clients succeed!
EXPERIENCE
I began my career in 1999 as the Compensation and Benefits Coordinator at Fort Dodge Animal Health and administered FMLA, COBRA, 401(k), Retirement and Educational Assistance Programs. In 2001, I was promoted to Human Resource Supervisor where I was responsible for the administration of all domestic benefit plans for the organization. In addition, I oversaw adherence to government regulations including FLSA, ADA and FMLA, providing appropriate counsel and training to others in the organization to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. My other areas of responsibility included COBRA administration, recruitment activities, employee relations, and EEO/AAP administration.
I joined FBD Consulting in 2003 as Human Resources Associate and was promoted to Human Resources Consultant in 2006 where I expanded my human resources knowledge by conducting audits of the Human Resources function, consulting on complex employee relations issues, conducting harassment investigations, developing comprehensive compensation plans, implementing new policies, and developing action plans to improve efficiencies and address compliance issues. I am proud to have consulted with various organizations of all sizes in numerous industries and locations.
Marsh & McLennan Agency became my business home in June 2008 with overall provisioning of internal Human Resources services, policies and programs. Once our internal processes and structure were created, I turned my focus on the growth and development of the MMA’s Human Resources Consulting platform. We offered comprehensive and customizable Human Resource solutions including management training, employee relations, FMLA administration, handbook development, harassment and discrimination investigations, and practical consultation on day-to-day HR issues or questions.

In June, 2019, I decided to take a leap of faith and start my own consulting firm offering these services to the business of the Kansas City area and beyond.
